The genesis of this book is simple. We're Christians
who believe in peace, justice and compassion for the poor.
So we decided to support Howard Dean for President. We created a website called Christians for Dean. Before long, our faith was under e-mail assault from the shock troops of the religious right. Inspired by the tortured logic of their arguments, we felt compelled to collect our favorites and create an anthology of actual e-mails. Sometimes funny, sometimes tragic, we believe this valuable book provides a revealing window into the stupefying mind of the Christian Right. -Christians for Dean
